Once again, SR Timber is doing their bit for charity. Shaun Revill, Jason Lumley and Steve Hill have signed up to take part in the 2017 Pavestone Rally, driving a banger from Dover to Monte Carlo.

The rules are simple; they have to buy a road-legal car for under £500 (the cheaper the car, the more fun!), dress it up themselves and hit Europe’s greatest roads and cities for 4 days to Monte Carlo.

All in fancy dress, they will complete challenges along the way, have loads of laughs and a whole lot of fun – and all in aid of charity. The rally is raising as much money as possible for two charities – the Rainy Day Trust and the Teenage Cancer Trust – and Shaun, Jason and Steve hope that this year’s company fundraiser will be as successful as last year’s activity, which raised more than £5,000 after Richard Stone and Jason climbed Mount Kilimanjaro for the British Heart Foundation.

Day 1 They will meet at the white cliffs of Dover and then head into Belgium via Ghent, stopping in Luxembourg City.

Day 2 Heading through Germany and Switzerland with an overnight in Liechtenstein.

Day 3 Heading through Austria before turning right over the Stelvio Pass into Italy and finishing the day in Verona.

Day 4 The last day will be a straightforward drive to Monte Carlo.
