SRT GOLD's raw material is sourced from Latvia

Timberex purchase the raw materials

Each log passes through a debarking machine and is then cut into boards and initially graded

The boards enter a kiln drying process

Boards are cut into battens and graded to BS 5534:2014 + A2:2018

Battens are bundled into 10's then assembled into shipping packs

Shipping packs then enter a treatment process

Battens are transferred to a holding bay for final inspection

You can be confident in the products supplied such as our SRT GOLD® roofing batten which is correctly treated to BS 8417:2011+A1:2014 giving protection with a 60 year service life.is underpinned by a 60-year treatment service life warranty.
Our fully graded SRT GOLD® roofing batten is stamped to BS 5534:2014 + A2:2018, and is certified by an independent third party accreditation recognised by controlling bodies, local authorities and home warranty providers such as the NHBC. So when only the correct roofing timber will do, SR Timber can provide.
